We saw 4 moose today, including these two. We also saw 4 black bears and 2 canines--we are not sure what they were--they looked too large to be coyotes--and a little far north--and two small to be wolves.
One of the moose came out of nowhere and ran across the road about 20 feet ahead of the car. Lynn had to hit the brakes so hard that a lot of the stuff was thrown forward in the motorhome---but the moose and all of us came out fine.
I'm standing at the Mile Zero milepost in of the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek.
The third photo is of the scenery as we wait during construction--and I had a chance to go back and pick up everything that had fallen or been thrown forward during the hard braking.
When I checked into our campsite, the man checking in ahead of me was a minister moving from Spokane to Fairbanks. He saw my Gonzaga sweatshirt, and we exchanged "Go Zags!!"
It's a small world!!
